The US sanctioned six individuals and six entities in Iran and China
On Tuesday, April 29, the US Department of the Treasury announced that it has sanctioned six individuals and six entities based in Iran and China for their involvement in a network supplying raw materials for ballistic missile fuel.
The US Department of the Treasury stated that this network has played a role in procuring sodium perchlorate and dioctyl sebacate from China for Iran.
These materials are used in the production of solid fuel for ballistic missiles and are subject to control under the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR).
In a statement, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bassett said that Iran’s aggressive missile development and other military capabilities threaten the security of the United States and our partners.
Within this framework, the trading company Saman Tejarat Barman (STB) and an individual named Mohammad Asgari in Iran, along with the Chinese company Shenzhen Amor Logistics, have been sanctioned for their role in sending raw materials to Iran.
According to the US Department of the Treasury, this Chinese company has previously cooperated with sanctioned companies.
