America uses marine robots in the Persian Gulf
The United States is trying to persuade its Middle Eastern allies to activate dozens of floating robots around the Arabian Peninsula with the aim of protecting vital waterways for global trade and oil trade, so that they can better and more quickly identify threats from countries like Iran.
According to a report by Bloomberg, quoting Brad Cooper, the commander of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet, the United States, which leads two international naval coalitions in the Persian Gulf region, intends to involve more than 100 unmanned surface vessels, also known as marine robots, in this operation by the end of summer.
Admiral Cooper also added that 50 of these vessels were activated in the region by February.
This plan is being implemented while Iran has recently seized a second international oil tanker in this vital waterway in less than a week.
The United States is also concerned about China’s efforts to expand military and security relations with Arab countries in the Persian Gulf region.
