The visas for the national team members to travel to Mexico have been completed, and the Iranian delegation will head to Tijuana on Saturday.

According to a report by IRNA news agency, quoting the media section of the Iranian national football team, with the issuance of visas for the two remaining members of the delegation, the process of obtaining Mexican visas for all national team members has been completed.

Based on this report, the Iranian national football team delegation will depart for Tijuana, Mexico, on Saturday, June 6th, at 3:20 AM Turkish time.

Previously, the Iranian Football Federation announced that with FIFA’s approval, the camp and base of the national team during the 2026 World Cup have been moved to the border city of Tijuana.

The first two matches of the Iranian national team in the World Cup will be held in Los Angeles, but so far, there has been no report on the issuance of U.S. visas for the players, technical staff, and team companions.

Mehdi Taj, the president of the Iranian Football Federation, told the New York Times that the federation is only in contact with FIFA and has no communication with American officials. He also emphasized, referring to visa issues, that Iran and FIFA have agreed to minimize the national team’s presence on U.S. soil.
