Activists are busy
Activists are busy, we need to remind the honorable representative of Tehran and the philosophy professor at Masbah Yazdi Institute of a few points. The reference to the appointment of the government’s spokesperson probably relates to the assignment of this responsibility to him since the news was released. He has been attacked by well-known users of social media, Kayhan newspaper, and some political hardliners in a coordinated manner.
The excuse for this attack is that Fatemeh Mahajerani said in a speech during the elections, ‘As a mother, we will not allow another Mehdi Shahidi to fall on the ground. We will not allow our alleys to be filled with the blood of young people.’ The representative of Tehran should clarify what is wrong with this statement and similar expressions. Who wants another Mehdi Shahidi to fall on the ground? Who wants blood to be shed in protests? This kind of expression has its roots in a mindset that prefers to erase the essence of the issue and only be approved by politicians, analysts, journalists, and society.
Previously, there was also a discussion about why the executive deputy of physicians had talked about the eye injuries of protesters in 1401. The issuance of general orders of riot or sedition for a series of events like what happened in Iran in 1401 closes the door to the correct analysis. By issuing these orders, there is neither a ground for accumulated dissatisfaction nor a mistake has occurred.
From A to Z, what happens is a scenario. While an internal wave of protests is created in the country, sometimes with a wrong law, protests continue for a long time. Protests in 1401 after Mahsa, protests against a critical situation, protests in Khuzestan in 1400, sudden implementation of a fate-changing decision, the gasoline price hike in 1398, or countless unanswered questions and ambiguities of the events in 1388. Is every protest that occurs in our country a foreign scenario? If so, then we should read the funeral prayer for the country, because the adversary, although successful once every few years, manages to disrupt this country.
In this line of thinking, when an analysis is to be carried out, like what we read these days in the universe and its satellites or well-known users on Twitter, they start a wave about Arman Alivordi and Rouhollah Ajamian, but remain silent about the shooting in Zahedan, and the author of Kayhan allows himself to conceal eye injuries.
Still, when they want to mention Mahsa Amini or analyze issues, they use words that hide a kind of nervousness within themselves. The thinking that Mr. Nabovian expresses does not believe that the roots of protest exist in Iran, and in order to feel comfortable and erase the issue, he issues a general order to end the disturbance, and then holds onto this order as a benchmark to measure others’ compliance with his standards.
Another aspect of Seyyed Mahmoud Nabavian’s remarks is the same warnings that were raised after the results of the 14th elections became clear. It seems that the medical community intends to compensate for some past wrong actions, such as purging professors and students, under the National Unity strategy. It is still unclear whether he has made any agreements to resolve the issue of hijab and gather police crackdowns within the government. The issue of escalating foreign policy tensions is also being discussed.
Any of these issues is enough for Mr. Nabavian’s intellectual movement to feel that the revolution has deviated from its path and something needs to be done. The honeymoon period of the government is coming to an end soon, and it is planned to return to the broad and long-standing organization of IRIB, several news agencies, at least two newspapers, and Friday prayer tribunes nationwide, especially in Mashhad, and to the pre-1400 settings, unless the realignment has truly changed. In this case, the return to the previous settings is not ruled out, but its intensity may decrease. Because in any case, someone like the Friday prayer leader of Mashhad is quite independent and must see where the first confrontation between hardliners and the 14th government will be. Remember Dey month of 1396.
