The US military announced it has destroyed 11 Houthi drones.
The US Central Command, CENTCOM, announced on Wednesday, April 11, that US military forces have destroyed 11 Houthi drones.
CENTCOM wrote on the social media platform X that between 4:15 and 6:00 AM on Wednesday, forces under its command destroyed one drone over the Red Sea and two others over the Gulf of Aden.
The report adds that these attacks did not result in any casualties or damage.
The US Central Command also stated that around 8:00 PM, US military forces destroyed eight drones in Houthi-controlled areas.
According to CENTCOM, the American forces identified these drones and determined that these weapons were an imminent threat to commercial ships and US Navy vessels.
The US Central Command further stated that these actions are conducted to protect the freedom of navigation and to make international waters safer for the US Navy and commercial ships.
