The third day of strikes in the third month of nationwide protests
The number of casualties in Izeh has increased
Protests and strikes in Iran have entered their third month, with Wednesday night being one of the deadliest nights of protests. Demonstrations continued in several cities, leading to the deaths of several protesters and security forces, at least in Izeh and Isfahan.
Official sources and state media have unanimously pointed the finger at terrorists, claiming that armed attackers from ISIS carried out the assault and fled after the terrorist operation. However, some eyewitnesses have reported that the shootings began during the gatherings and have attributed the responsibility for the deaths of citizens to the security forces.
Additionally, reports and images shared on social media indicate that security forces could not tolerate the strikes in some cities and areas, notably the Iron Market in the Shadabad neighborhood of Tehran, and resorted to destroying citizens’ property.
