As Pope Leo XIV entered the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Istanbul to conduct a Mass on Friday, December 7th, dozens of Istanbul residents gathered in the church courtyard to meet the Vatican leader.

On the second day of his visit to Turkey, Friday, Leo XIV will join the leader of the Orthodox Christians worldwide to celebrate the 1700th anniversary of one of the most significant church gatherings in Christianity.
