Torrential rains in Pakistan left 36 dead

Pakistani officials announced that heavy rainfall in Pakistan has claimed the lives of at least 36 people and injured 50 others. According to this report, houses were destroyed following the rainfall, and on the other hand, landslides, especially in the northwest of the country, caused road closures.

The Disaster Management Authority of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state said that since Thursday night, most of the victims were among the 30 people who lost their lives in rain-related incidents in the Swat Valley, Khyber district, and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state on the Afghanistan border. These individuals were mainly women and children.
