Tourist Complex Mehr and Mah Closed Due to Hijab Warning Conflict

The Mehr and Mah tourism complex was closed due to a clash over hijab enforcement.

Reports from Iran indicate that the Mehr and Mah roadside tourism complex, located six kilometers from the city of Qom, has been closed since yesterday, April 6th, due to visitors not wearing hijab.

In recent days, a video of a clash between the merchants of this commercial complex and those enforcing hijab rules over reminding visitors about hijab was circulated on social media.

Fars News Agency, quoting an unnamed source, wrote that the manager of this complex decided on a 2-day closure to address the issue and revise procedures.

This news agency wrote that tensions and clashes occurred between the complex’s security staff and individuals enforcing mandatory hijab within this complex.
