Transfer of Iranian and Foreign Prisoners to Their Countries by Year-End

Transfer of Iranian and foreign prisoners to their countries by the end of the year

The Deputy Minister of Justice and the head of the Prisoner Transfer Committee mentioned that about four thousand Iranian prisoners are incarcerated in other countries. He said that since the beginning of this year, 86 Iranian prisoners have been returned to Iran from other countries, and we plan to bring back over 100 more prisoners by the end of the year.

He added that out of the total four thousand Iranian prisoners abroad, 2800 are in Turkish prisons, and the transfer of Iranian prisoners from Turkey, Armenia, Sri Lanka, and India is also on the agenda.
