Trump called those reporting ammunition shortages traitors
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, on Thursday, September 3, referred to individuals and media outlets reporting on the country’s ammunition shortages as traitors on Truth Social. He claimed that the U.S. has virtually unlimited reserves of medium to advanced ammunition.
He stated that ammunition production has reached an unprecedented level and that the current priority is to supply domestic reserves, although sales to allies will soon resume.
Trump also criticized the Biden administration’s military aid to Ukraine, claiming that the volume of this aid has surpassed the ammunition used in the Iran war.
In contrast, a number of media outlets and experts have warned that the extensive use of precision weapons in the Iran war has turned the replenishment of reserves into a multi-year process, reducing America’s capability to respond to other threats.
