Trump Campaign Accuses Iran

Trump’s campaign accused Iran

The basis of the accusation from Trump’s campaign is that Iranian hackers hacked the campaign’s internal system. Documents related to the background of two of Trump’s vice-presidential candidates were hacked in June, and an email containing these documents was sent to the media.

Politico is one of the media outlets that received these documents, and the hacker in question refused to disclose their source when journalists requested information.

So far, U.S. cybersecurity officials and the FBI have not confirmed this accusation. Trump’s campaign has only cited Microsoft’s recent statement on Friday, which mentions Iranian hackers’ infiltration activities on social networks but does not provide any points about hacking campaign systems.
