Trump: CIA chief’s trip to Russia was unrelated to Iran

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said that John Ratcliffe’s trip, the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, to Russia was a kind of semi-routine trip.

In response to a question about the reason for this trip, Trump dismissed speculations that it was related to US sanctions against Iran, a possible Russian attack on the UK, or Vladimir Putin’s attempts to test NATO’s resolve.

The US President, when asked if Ratcliffe’s trip was related to any of these issues, said none of the above.
