Trump is being tried again

Donald Trump is going to court on Tuesday where writer E. Jean Carroll accuses the former President of the United States of raping her in the mid-1990s in a department store dressing room.

The jury selection process is expected to begin in the Manhattan federal court where the former Elle magazine columnist has accused Trump of defamation.

Trump, 76, has denied the allegations of rape by Carroll, 79. In an October 2022 post on his own platform, Truth Social, he described the woman’s claims as a complete con job and fraud.

Trump says that the writer fabricated this encounter to promote her memoir. He stated that this woman is not my type.

Trump is not required to appear in court for this case. His lawyers have indicated that he may not attend the session, citing potential security concerns and traffic delays.
