Trump: Israel’s attack on Beirut should not have happened

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, reacted to Israel’s attack on the Beirut suburb by saying that this attack should not have occurred when the parties were close to reaching a peace agreement in the region.

In a message, he stated that this morning’s attack on Beirut should not have happened, especially on a day when we are so close to a peace agreement with Iran.

Trump emphasized Israel’s right to defend itself and added that the attack cited as the reason for this action was very small and insignificant, leaving no casualties or injuries.

The President of the United States also warned that no further attacks should be carried out by Israel in Lebanon, and in return, attacks against Israel should also cease.

He said we are very close to an agreement that will bring peace to the region, including Lebanon, and all parties should refrain from actions that disrupt this process.

Trump concluded by saying this could be the beginning of a long and beautiful peace; let’s not ruin it.
