Trump: The next round of talks with Iran will likely be held on Thursday in Islamabad.
The U.S. President has announced the possibility of new talks with Iran in Pakistan in the coming days and has positively evaluated the role of the military and government of that country in the negotiation process.
The New York Post has reported that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has announced that the next round of talks with Iran might take place in Islamabad within the next two days.
According to the newspaper, Trump, after speaking with a reporter about the future of the negotiations, said in a follow-up call that it’s really better to stay there in Pakistan because something might happen in the next two days; we are more inclined to go there.
He further added that it’s more likely, you know why, because General Asim Munir is doing his job well.
Asim Munir, the commander of the Pakistani army, along with Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of the country, were the hosts and mediators of recent negotiations between Iran and the U.S. in Islamabad. These talks were held on Saturday but ended without reaching an agreement.
