Trump to give Patriot air defense to Ukraine
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has stated that through NATO, military weapons, including Patriot defense systems, will be sent to Ukraine, and according to him, NATO will also cover the cost of these weapons.
These remarks come after Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, spoke of a positive conversation with Mr. Trump regarding the timely receipt of weapons.
He said that after the increase in Russian drone and missile attacks on Ukrainian cities last week, he requested 10 Patriot systems.
This system detects and intercepts missile attacks and is considered one of the best air defense equipment in the world.
The President of Ukraine said on Thursday in Rome that Germany is ready to cover the cost of two Patriot systems and Norway will cover the cost of another one, while other European partners are also ready to assist.
