Trump will not testify in the court case against Jean Carroll
Donald Trump’s lawyer has stated that the former US president has waived his right to testify in the New York civil court case for rape and defamation filed by Jean Carroll.
According to Reuters, Joseph Tacopina informed the judge that Mr. Trump is waiving his right to testify and prefers not to present a defense in this case, as he believes the jury will realize that the plaintiff has not provided a convincing case to the court.
In the last court session held on Thursday, the judge gave Mr. Trump until 5 PM on Sunday, May 7th, to declare whether he would testify in court or not.
