Trump's Deputy: We Are Close to a Long-Term Agreement on Iran's Nuclear Program

Trump’s deputy has approached a long-term agreement on Iran’s nuclear program

J.D. Vance, the Vice President of the United States, has said that Washington is close to reaching an agreement that, according to him, could limit Iran’s nuclear program in the long term.

In an interview with CBS, he stated, ‘I currently feel that we are in a position where we can reach an agreement that is economically good for the United States and truly addresses Iran’s nuclear program, not just now, not just while Donald Trump is president, but for the long term, so that when my children grow up, they can say that Iran is not going to have nuclear weapons.’

Vance further added, ‘This is the goal of such a policy, and I think we are very close to achieving that goal, but there is still a lot of work to be done. We will continue to work on this.’

The Vice President of the United States also said that reaching such an agreement could certainly be realized before the U.S. midterm elections in November.
