CNN: Trump left Netanyahu unsuccessful on Iran and Gaza issues
CNN reported that Benjamin Netanyahu, after meeting with Donald Trump, was unable to align the U.S. President with his positions on the issues of Iran and Gaza, and now faces challenges on both fronts.
According to the network, Netanyahu still seeks a serious resumption of the U.S. war against Iran, but Washington is pursuing a diplomatic solution. CNN also wrote that Israel believes the U.S. government is overly willing to compromise with Palestinian armed groups to achieve a political success.
The report adds that Netanyahu will likely try to delay or counter any U.S. pressure to halt operations in Gaza or withdraw Israeli forces.
