Turkey Removed from FATF Grey List

Turkey has been removed from the Financial Action Task Force’s grey list

Turkey’s Finance Minister announced on social media that Turkey has successfully been removed from the FATF grey list

The sixth meeting of the Financial Action Task Force, abbreviated as FATF, which operates under the OECD, was held from June 23 to 28 in Singapore

According to the statement released by the OECD, two countries have been removed from the grey list during this meeting

The General Assembly congratulated Turkey and Jamaica for their progress in addressing the strategic deficiencies in Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AMLCFT) that were previously identified in mutual evaluations

The General Assembly decided that Turkey and Jamaica will no longer be subject to the increased monitoring process of the FATF
