The Turkish Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of preserving Syria’s territorial integrity, stating that everyone needs an organized transitional process led by the Syrian nation.
Hakan Fidan, the Turkish Foreign Minister, in a meeting held on Saturday in the city of Aqaba, located in southern Jordan, about Syria, noted that the West Asia region is once again experiencing historic days. He emphasized that the Syrian people deserve to live in security, freedom, and prosperity, and that the upcoming phase in Syria might not be easy, but Ankara will stand by the Syrian people.
He stressed the importance of stability in Syria for the region and the world, stating that everyone needs an organized transitional process led by the Syrian people.
Fidan emphasized the importance of protecting Syria’s state institutions at this stage, implementing necessary reforms, maintaining Syria’s territorial integrity, supporting the country’s rich social diversity, and respecting all minorities.
Fidan stressed the need for coordinated efforts and learning from past mistakes, warning against any wrong actions that could lead to a new wave of migration.
