Twitter Stops Selling Blue Checkmarks

Twitter has halted the sale of blue checkmarks.

This event occurs just a few days after the launch of the $8 Twitter Blue service, where a multitude of fake accounts paid $8 and received the blue verification checkmark, pretending to be another known company or individual.

A knowledgeable source at Twitter told Bloomberg News that there will be no issue for those who have purchased the Twitter Blue account, and subscribers to this service can access their accounts. However, the purchase of the blue checkmark on Twitter is currently halted for an unspecified period.

Recently, purchasing Twitter Blue and the blue checkmark was only possible through the iOS app. However, users have received this message in recent hours when attempting to purchase.

Thank you for your interest. Twitter Blue will be available in your country in the future. Please check back later.
