Two female students were suspended from their studies
The Student Councils Channel reported that Saba Eskandari has been suspended for two semesters for not complying with mandatory hijab. According to this report, she is a counseling and guidance student at the University of Tehran.
The report indicates that the university’s preliminary council sentenced her to a two-semester suspension, counted in her academic years, for not adhering to Islamic dress code or the dress regulations of the ministries. The report adds that this penalty is the maximum possible punishment intended as a reprimand for this student.
Additionally, news has come from Kharazmi University that Samin Nasari, an undergraduate history student, has received a disciplinary sentence.
According to the disciplinary committee’s ruling at this university, she has been sentenced to a temporary one-semester suspension, counted in her academic years.
The Student Councils Channel stated that this student lost her previous semester due to being barred from entering, and in the current semester, after several weeks of being barred, she was able to return to the university. However, with notifications in the final weeks of the semester, the university has imposed the maximum possible pressure on this student.
