Two Iranian Warships Docked at Rio de Janeiro Port in Brazil

Two Iranian warships docked at the port of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

According to Reuters, the Makran and Dena ships, despite U.S. pressure, received permission from the Brazilian government to stop at the Rio de Janeiro port dock.

Last month, before Lula da Silva’s trip to the U.S., Reuters reported that the Brazilian president, as a goodwill gesture, complied with the U.S. request and did not allow Iranian military ships to dock.

It seems that after the trip to the U.S., Mr. Lula’s government has granted such permission.
