UAE Leader is Putin’s Special Guest

The UAE leader is Putin’s special guest. Putin described the Russia-UAE relations as strategic. According to Iran Gate, Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, in his meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the leader of the UAE in Moscow, stated that the trade volume between Russia and the UAE has tripled in the past three years. The relations between Russia and the UAE have reached the level of strategic partnership.

According to media reports, investments between Russia and the UAE have reached 7 billion dollars, and the trade volume between the two countries has reached 10 billion dollars.

The trade volume between the two sides was 5 billion dollars in the year 2021.

Among the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the UAE is Russia’s largest trading partner.

The UAE accounts for 55% of Russia’s trade with countries in the region.

Putin also said in the meeting with the UAE leader that they will definitely discuss the situation in the Middle East.

The situation in the Middle East is extremely difficult and complex. He added, I want to thank you for your participation in resolving humanitarian issues, including the exchange of prisoners.

Putin’s reference was about the prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine. These two countries are currently at war.

Sheikh Mohammed said to Putin, ‘Mr. President, thank you for inviting me to your home.’

On Sunday night, Putin welcomed his UAE counterpart at his residence in Novo-Ogaryovo, and the two participated in an informal dinner.

The UAE leader told Putin that they intend to develop bilateral relations. He also said that his personal relationship with Putin allows for the resolution of many issues. He added, ‘We are connected in many areas, such as culture, traditions, and mentality. This is a very strong bridge between the two countries.’

The UAE leader intends to participate in the two-day BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia.

The BRICS group was established in 2006 with the membership of Russia, Brazil, India, China, and South Africa. After that, Egypt, Ethiopia, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia were also added as members. The UAE leader had previously participated in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum last January and met with Putin.
