The UK sanctioned 12 individuals and entities linked to Iran
The UK government announced that it has sanctioned 12 individuals and legal entities associated with the Iranian regime, accusing them of participating in hostile actions against the UK and several other countries.
According to Reuters, London has accused these individuals and entities of planning attacks and providing financial support to groups seeking to destabilize the UK and other countries.
According to the UK government’s statement, the sanctions include asset freezes and travel bans to the country.
In recent months, reports have been published about the possible connection between Tehran and antisemitic attacks in the UK.
At the same time, an Islamist group named Harakat Ashaab Al-Yamin Al-Islamiyyah, which is said to have connections with Iran, has claimed responsibility for some attacks in the UK and several European countries.
