Ukraine demands Russia’s removal from the Security Council

Agence France-Presse reported that Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated in a television interview late Sunday that Kyiv will submit its request on Monday for the removal of Russia from the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.

He added, ‘We will officially announce our position on this matter. We have a very simple question: Does Russia have the right to remain as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council? We have a logical and convincing answer to that: No, it does not have this right.’
