Ukraine sank a Russian ship in the Black Sea

The Ukrainian military announced today, Wednesday, that it has sunk a Russian-class landing ship used to support amphibious operations with attacks by sea drones in the Black Sea.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained that the amphibious ship Tsar Kunikov sank near Alupka, a city on the southern edge of the Crimean Peninsula, which has been occupied by Russia since 2014. This ship had the capacity to carry 87 crew members.

This is the second time in the past two weeks that Ukrainian forces have reported sinking a Russian ship in the Black Sea. Last week, Ukrainian forces also released a video containing footage of a drone attack on a Russian missile ship named Ivanuts.
