Ukrainian Army Spokesperson: Russia Did Not Respond to the Request to Return the Bodies of Ukrainian Prisoners

The Ukrainian military spokesperson stated that Russia did not respond to the request for the handover of the bodies of Ukrainian prisoners.

Andriy Yusov, a representative of Ukraine’s GUR, requested the Russian Federation to hand over the bodies of those killed in the crash of the Il-76 plane, but received no response.

Andriy Yusov mentioned that our government’s request for an impartial international investigation is related not only to the circumstances of the Il-76 plane crash but also to what was actually inside it—whether there were people or munitions, and who, apart from the crew, was there.

Yusov also emphasized that the status of the 65 military personnel declared by Russia remains unchanged, and they are still considered prisoners.
