The President of Ukraine: Peace must be achieved with dignity
Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, in a lengthy message on social media, emphasized that Russia was the initiator of the war and said that Moscow is now refusing to end the conflict and is trying to maintain its ability to continue the war not just against Ukraine.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to the countries supporting the peace process and said, ‘We thank the United States, the American people, and especially President Trump for these supports.’ He also thanked European allies and members of the G20 who continue to stand by Ukraine and added that maintaining this support is of fundamental importance.
In another part of his speech, the President of Ukraine emphasized that the main goal should not be forgotten: ending the Russian war and preventing it from flaring up again. He said peace must be achieved with dignity.
Zelensky pointed out that the war for Russia is not just a battle over territory, and clarified that this country is seeking the right to wage war and the right to subjugate others. He added that this is why we are working carefully on every clause and every step towards peace.
Everything must proceed correctly so that this war truly ends and never repeats.
