UN expresses concern over US eavesdropping on the UN Secretary-General

The United Nations has reported that it has expressed its concerns to American officials regarding reports of eavesdropping on private conversations of the UN Secretary-General by the United States.

Some of the classified Pentagon documents that have leaked on certain public social networks since early March reveal that the United States has eavesdropped on at least four private conversations of UN Secretary-General António Guterres with other officials of the organization, including discussions about Ukraine.

The content of the leaked US Department of Defense documents includes over a hundred pieces of intelligence labeled as confidential and highly confidential, mostly concerning the Ukraine-Russia war and the role of America’s allies in this conflict.
