UN General Assembly Resolution on Israel's Nuclear Weapons Approved

The UN General Assembly resolution on Israel’s nuclear weapons was adopted

While Israel and the Arabs have reached a serious understanding and cooperation, the adoption of the United Nations resolution in the general assembly regarding this state’s nuclear weapons has been a significant event.

Egypt brought this resolution to the General Assembly, and the Palestinian Authority along with nineteen countries, including Bahrain, Jordan, Morocco, and the UAE, were also among the signatories of the proposed text.

In this resolution, presented under the title of the risk of enrichment and nuclear weapons programs in the Middle East, Israel is asked to dismantle its nuclear weapons and submit to full control and supervision by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Besides Israel, the United States and Canada, along with Palau and Micronesia, voted against this resolution, and many European countries abstained from voting, although Sweden, Finland, Spain, and Ukraine supported it.
