The United Nations Human Rights Council on Tuesday passed a resolution proposed by the UK and Iceland against the human rights situation in Iran

The Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva rejected the instrumental use of the human rights issue

Ali Bahraini, before the vote on this resolution, which was passed with 23 votes in favor, 8 against, and 16 abstentions, said that the draft resolution that the council is about to vote on, and which has been presented by Iceland and the United Kingdom as its main sponsors, is completely unjustifiable and has been rejected by Iran
