UN Security Council meeting on Gaza
The US-proposed resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza was vetoed by China and Russia and did not pass.
This is the fourth resolution to be vetoed by permanent members of the Security Council. The previous three resolutions were vetoed by the United States. The Russian representative at today’s meeting said that this resolution does not help the Palestinians and only reflects American hypocrisy.
