UNICEF: Afghan girls have lost three billion hours of education

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), on the thousandth day of the ban on Afghan girls’ education above sixth grade by the Taliban, called for the immediate lifting of this prohibition.

In a report published on Thursday, June 13, UNICEF estimated that more than one million Afghan girls have been deprived of continuing their education due to the Taliban’s decision.
