UNICEF Announced Over 1,100 Children Killed or Injured in Recent Middle East Conflict

UNICEF announced that more than 1,100 children have been killed or injured in the recent Middle East conflict.

UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, announced that since the onset of the recent war in the Middle East, more than 1,100 children have been killed or injured.

According to this UN agency, these conflicts have been disastrous for millions of children across the region.

The UNICEF statement reported that in this war, 200 children in Iran, 91 children in Lebanon, four children in Israel, and one child in Kuwait have been killed.

UNICEF emphasized that nothing justifies killing and maiming children or disrupting essential services upon which children depend.

The agency also called for an end to the war and the start of diplomatic negotiations, urging the parties involved to take necessary precautions in choosing methods and tools of warfare to minimize harm to civilians, especially children.
