The foreign ministers of the US and UK arrived in Kyiv for arms negotiations.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, along with his British counterpart David Lammy, arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday, September 11th. The purpose of this visit is to meet with Ukrainian officials to discuss contentious issues in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Blinken specifically stated that he wants to hear directly from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other officials about their objectives in the war with Russia and how Washington can assist Kyiv in achieving these goals.
During this meeting, Zelensky reiterated his request for Ukraine’s allies to allow the use of Western long-range missiles, including the American ATACMS long-range missile and the British-made Storm Shadow cruise missile, for use within Russian territory.
