US Claim About How the Coronavirus Leaked from a Lab
Recent claims by the United States that COVID-19 was most likely produced in a laboratory run by the Chinese government have raised new questions about the origin of the pandemic that first swept across the world three years ago.
Dr. Robert Redfield, who led the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 2018 to 2021, recently told a panel from the US Congress that COVID-19 might have accidentally originated from a lab in China.
His opinion actually aligns with claims made earlier by Christopher Wray, the FBI director. Mr. Wray told the American news network Fox News that the FBI has long assessed that the origin of the pandemic is most likely a potential laboratory incident.
