US Defense Secretary: Evidence Shows Iran is Moving Towards Nuclear Weapons

The US Secretary of Defense says there is evidence that Iran is moving towards nuclear weapons.

US Secretary of Defense Pete, on Wednesday during a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing, in response to a question about the Islamic Republic’s efforts to build nuclear weapons, said there is a lot of evidence indicating that the Iranians have moved in a direction that leads to the construction of something akin to a nuclear weapon.

Dan Keane, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US military, also in response to Senator Lindsey Graham’s question about the possibility of the Islamic Republic using nuclear weapons against Israel, said he thinks Tehran would use it to exert pressure on Israel, but he is not sure whether they would actually use a nuclear weapon or not.
