Hegseth, the US Secretary of Defense, stated that if negotiations with Iran do not yield results, other options are on the table.
One day after the conclusion of the Iran and US talks in Oman, Pete Hegseth, the US Secretary of Defense, in an exclusive interview with Fox News morning program, said that Donald Trump’s administration is seriously trying to prevent the Islamic Republic from acquiring nuclear weapons.
He described the recent negotiations between the US and Iran in Oman as positive and beneficial, adding that Trump is willing to reach an agreement through dialogue, but if this path does not work, other options have been considered.
The US Secretary of Defense also highlighted the US operations against the Houthis in Yemen, emphasizing that Washington’s capability to carry out military actions is high, but they prefer not to use this power unless it becomes necessary to prevent the construction of a nuclear bomb in Iran.
