US Disabled a Commercial Ship Before Entering Iranian Ports

The United States disabled a commercial ship before it entered Iranian ports

An American official announced on Saturday in a conversation with the Associated Press that United States military forces have prevented another commercial ship that intended to break the blockade of Iranian ports from passing.

According to this official, who wished to remain anonymous, the bulk carrier Lian Star, flying the Gambian flag, attempted to enter one of Iran’s ports early Saturday morning. The source added that in an aerial operation, American forces disabled the ship’s movement and technical systems but did not board or seize the ship. As a result, the ship was left adrift at sea without any guidance.
