US Energy Secretary: We can stop Iran’s oil exports

The United States Secretary of Energy says the US government has the capability to halt Iran’s oil exports, just as Trump did during his first term as president.

Chris Wright said on April 11 in Abu Dhabi in an interview with Reuters that this is completely achievable.

Trump did it in his first term; we can track the ships leaving Iran.

We know where they are going.

We can stop Iran’s oil exports.

Wright, who traveled to the Persian Gulf region on his first foreign trip as the Energy Secretary in the Trump administration, emphasized that Washington is determined to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons by intensifying sanctions.

Regarding the possibility of using military options or directly stopping Iranian oil tankers at sea, he said he is not willing to disclose the technical details of these policies but stressed that all options are on the table and the United States has full capability to increase pressure.
