US Expresses Concern Over the Treatment of Protesters

The US says the world is watching how the Iranian government treats all those detained.

Ned Price said in a press briefing with journalists on Tuesday, December 20, that unfortunately, Taraneh Alidoosti is joining the ranks of thousands of other Iranians who have been arrested just for peaceful protest.

The British Prime Minister said on Tuesday, December 20, in the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Commons, that the protests in Iran carry a very clear message that the people of Iran are not satisfied with the government.

Rishi Sunak added that he is increasingly concerned about the behavior of the Islamic Republic towards protesters, its nuclear program, and other actions of the country, which he says destabilize the Middle East and Europe.
