The U.S. military communication lines with China are closed

John Kirby, the Strategic Communications Coordinator for the U.S. National Security Council, announced that unfortunately, the communication lines between his country’s military and China are closed.

John Kirby, the Strategic Communications Coordinator for the White House National Security Council, added on Friday, local time, to reporters in Washington about the U.S.-China talks following the downing of the intelligence balloon, that unfortunately, the military lines are not open, and this is really an issue we would like to correct.

Kirby also mentioned regarding the trip of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Beijing, which was canceled following the downing of the Chinese balloon, that now is not a suitable time for Blinken to visit China.
