U.S. reaction to the IAEA report on Iran: The report is not yet public and I have no comment.
The spokesperson for the U.S. State Department responded to a question about the release of a new report by the International Atomic Energy Agency on Iran.
Matthew Miller, the spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, in response to a question about Reuters’ claim of seeing the new IAEA report on Iran’s nuclear program, which mentions Iran’s reduction of uranium close to bomb level, said, ‘As far as I know, this report has not been made public yet, and I do not comment on reports that have not been released.’
Miller, in a part of this press briefing published on the U.S. State Department’s website, said, ‘However, we continue to have serious concerns about the ongoing expansion of Iran’s nuclear program, including the continuous production of high-purity uranium, which has no credible civilian justification.’
In its quarterly report that Reuters has accessed, the International Atomic Energy Agency announced that Iran’s enriched uranium reserves have increased by 10,387 kilograms since the previous report, reaching 55,255 kilograms.
Reuters, quoting the Atomic Agency, announced that Iran’s enriched uranium reserves with 60 percent purity have decreased by 68 percent, reaching 1,215 kilograms.
