US Sanctions Against 9 Companies Linked to Iran’s Petrochemical and Oil Industries
Amid increased pressure from Washington on Tehran, the United States on Thursday, February 9, sanctioned 9 companies involved in the production, sale, and shipment of Iran’s petrochemical and oil products to Asian customers.
According to this statement, six petrochemical producers based in Iran and their subsidiaries, along with three companies in Malaysia and Singapore representing the Triliance Petrochemical Company, are being sanctioned for producing, selling, and shipping hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of Iran’s petrochemical and oil products.
Previously, on January 23, 2020, the Triliance Petrochemical Company had been sanctioned by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury Department.
