The US Secretary of State is assisting Russia in circumventing sanctions against Iran.
During a meeting at the United Nations Security Council, the US Secretary of State expressed concerns about Iran, North Korea, and China cooperating with Russia.
Yesterday, Antony Blinken, in a speech at a UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Ukraine, called for an end to military cooperation between Iran, North Korea, and China with Russia.
The UKINFORM website reported that Blinken expressed concerns about Russia’s military cooperation with Iran, China, and North Korea, stating that there are two immediate and related steps that must be taken. First, we must address the growing cooperation between Russia and North Korea and Iran.
The US Secretary of State further mentioned Western officials’ concerns about Iran sending drones to Russia and building a drone production plant in Russia. He also stated that North Korea has supplied large shipments of weapons and ammunitions, including missile launchers and millions of artillery shells, to Russia.
The US Secretary of State continued by saying that the actions of Iran, North Korea, and Russia are in violation of several UN Security Council resolutions.
Blinken then said that Russia’s relations with Iran, China, and North Korea are not one-way streets, and North Korea and Iran also receive help from Russia to circumvent sanctions and stabilize the region.
