The US is seeking to refer Iran’s nuclear case to the Security Council
Bloomberg has reported that the United States is attempting to bring Iran’s nuclear program case to the United Nations Security Council, a move pursued based on what is described as Tehran’s insufficient cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors. The US has the support of Britain, France, and Germany in this effort, and the four countries are seeking to pass a resolution at the IAEA Board of Governors meeting that would request the agency to report the Iran issue to the Security Council.
