U.S. State Department spokesperson: We are concerned about Iran and Russia’s cooperation in other areas.
Ned Price, spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, said Iran has sent drones to Russia amid the Ukraine war and intends to send missiles to this country.
This is a concern we have expressed very publicly this summer. It is a concern that has materialized in the form of supplying deadly drones to Russia.
We have expressed our concerns that Russia might seek assistance from Iran for ballistic missile technology. We have stated our concerns that cooperation between Iran and Russia could extend to other areas, including the exchange of knowledge and expertise in suppressing peaceful protesters.
